The Calm Before the Creative Storm
Early morning starts the day. Deiontrez, our lead videographer, starts his day by reviewing the call sheet and schedule for the commercial shoot. We’re shooting a promotional video today for a business located in downtown Tampa. They want to show off their modern office and team culture.
We double-check the weather forecast to confirm both indoor and outdoor scenes. The team finalizes gear–cameras, drones, audio kits, gimbals, lighting, and backup batteries–everything must be ready before we hit the road.
8:00 AM – Location Scout and Setup
Business video production in Tampa often starts with an on-site visit. The team is at the client’s business office by 8 AM. The first thing we do is walk through the office to assess the lighting and the overall space. This allows us to identify the best locations for interviews, B-roll and motion shots.
Jordan Edwards, our cinematographer, works with the director to finalize the shooting plan. Bryan Varra, while he is setting up the lighting in the first scene of the film, tests out the drone to get some amazing aerial shots of the office. The rest of team takes care of audio setup and adjusts the cameras to different angles.

The Filming Begins! The filming begins
The filming begins with an interview segment. The CEO of the company shares how they deliver value to their clients and their brand story. Deiontrez places the camera in order to achieve proper composition, depth-of-field, and lighting. Rick Jones is monitoring the audio feed to ensure it’s crisp and clear.
B-roll is next: images of employees working together, interacting with clients and showing the product. We encourage and direct the staff as they move through each scene. Many aren’t accustomed to being on camera so we create an atmosphere that is fun and relaxed.

Breaks and backups at 11:30 AM
We back up our footage before lunch on several drives. Always have a back-up. Preparation is the only thing we can control. The crew takes a quick break to hydrate and review the first clips for consistency and continuity.

After lunch we take some creative transition photos. Jake Lemon, an expert in gimbal movements, captures the smooth walkthrough of your workspace. These dynamic visuals bring life and energy into business video content. They elevate it from the ordinary to cinematic.

Review, Edit and Storyboard at 5:00 PM
The post-production begins once you return to Mount Up Media’s HQ. Our editors, Rick Jones included, begin reviewing clips as footage is imported and organized. The aim is to transform the raw material into an engaging, polished video that achieves the client’s objectives.
